Calcium carbonate is an inorganic compound commonly known as: limestone, limestone, stone powder, marble, and the like. Calcium carbonate can be classified into ground calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, Nano calcium carbonate, and activated calcium carbonate depending on the method of calcium carbonate production.
Ground Calcium Carbonate GCC:
It is the powder product get from natural ores which is ground and processed by machine, with bulk density generally 0.8-1.3g/cm3 whiteness 89%-93%. According to the average particle size, it can be divided into:
1.Coarse ground calcium carbonate: >3μm
2.Fine ground calcium carbonate: 1-3μm
3.Ultra fine ground calcium carbonate: 0.5-1μm
Ground Calcium Carbonate (commonly known as GCC) can be obtained by mechanically crushing and grinding natural calcite, limestone, chalk, shells, etc. by mechanical means (using Raymond mill,ultrafine grinding mill, high-pressure mill or other calcium carbonate powder making machine). Since the sedimentation volume of the heavy calcium carbonate is smaller than the sedimentation volume of the light calcium carbonate, it is called heavy calcium carbonate. Nature: white powder. Odorless and tasteless. There is no change in the exposed air, and the specific gravity is 2.710. The temperature of 1339 ° C. Almost insoluble in water dissolved in water containing ammonium salts or ferric oxide, insoluble in alcohol. In the case of dilute acetic acid, dilute hydrochloric acid, dilute nitric acid, it is inflated and dissolved. The heat is decomposed into calcium oxide (CaO) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Different crushing and processing equipment can produce: 400 mesh, 500 mesh, 600 mesh, 800 mesh, 1000 mesh, 1250 mesh, 2500 mesh, 5000 mesh heavy calcium carbonate of various particle sizes, and also due to papermaking, coatings and pigments. The special needs can also be ground to produce heavy calcium below 2μm. Due to the difference in calcium content of 2μm, it is divided into the following specifications:
≥40% Pd40 heavy calcium below 2μm
2μm or less ≥60% Pd60 heavy calcium
2μm or less ≥80% Pd80 heavy calcium
≥90% Pd90 heavy calcium below 2μm

Light Calcium Carbonate LCC:
It is the precipitated calcium carbonate powder product get from chemical reaction, with bulk density generally 0.5-0.7g/cm3 whiteness 92%-95%. According to the average particle size, it can be divided into:
1.Particle calcium carbonate: >5μm
2.Coarse powder calcium carbonate: 1-5μm
3.Micro calcium carbonate: 0.1-1μm
4.Superfine calcium carbonate: 20-100nm
5.Ultra fine powder calcium carbonate: <20nm
Nano calcium carbonate:Superfine light calcium carbonate and ultra fine powder light calcium carbonate are known collectively as Nano calcium carbonate (1-100nm).
Activated calcium carbonate:It is get from calcium carbonate having been surface coated, mostly distinguished in its hydrophobic property from non-activated calcium carbonate.
